CORNflower Blue
Sharing a
revelatory dream, received the last week of Jan. '07, with some insight
following.
In my
dream I was above viewing, and observing a woman. She seemed to be indoors in a
house. The details of the surrounding were not shown me clearly, yet I feel this
must have been a 'home' because of her subsequent activities. The woman herself
was clear to me, as she was the highlight of my watching in this dream-scene.
This woman wore an old-time cotton circular cap having a small ruffle on the
edges, and a matching era long dress. Both were made of light blue cotton, and
were the color of Cornflower Blue. The material had tiny white flowers patterned
-- which reminded me as I looked, of flour sack material from long ago times,
even a cloth that Early American women and pioneers / settlers did use
for making clothing.
She had medium colored brown hair, some of which was peeking out of the edges of
her work cap; The woman was of a pleasant 'average' face -- so that nothing
stood out to me about her in particular, other than her historical times, and
past era clothing.
I saw this woman first standing working with her hands on a project laying on a
work counter, there in front of her. She was concentrated upon her task.
Next she moved on, taking several steps to a new place, to work repairing a
quilt, while she was seated. After what seemed to be a short time, she arose to
go to a next place and another project, as I watched.
* In this dream, there were about 5 or 6 of these stations in a circular
route which this woman attended, with each place being several steps apart. She
moved from place to place going from one to the next project circumventing,
circling in a counterclockwise rotation.
The woman worked at each place for a time, and
then she would move on to the next station in this ordered sequential
circle-trail, to another project of handiwork (working with her hands) -- in
this counterclockwise route she walked.
I cannot now recall clearly the various projects she took up to do at each
station, except that they were all handiwork's concerned with basic home and
family type-needs that were worked on by this dream-woman whom wore that old
fashioned Cornflower Blue colored dress and work cap -- i.e. There was the
sewing and quilting project, and a repairing of shoe soles at one station,
and similar family projects needing her attention and work .....
Lastly, she moved continuing counterclockwise to her final station, which
had her coming full circle in my dream-viewing of this scene. Here she began to
work with her hands kneading a very large rounded bread dough on a work counter.
This, her final project station was right next to her starting
point (work counter) of this dream.
-- and I then awoke,, to ponder this dream with
The Lord.
--------------------------------
As I have asked The Lord about this dream, I've been given to understand that
this dream was addressing work[s] (hands), which may be obviously apparent from
the woman's busy, yet caring and care-filled work in these separate projects she
encounters.
-- As well, and connected to the 'works of the hands' (woman's hands) I have
sensed the dream to also be addressing "ministries" (five fingers of the hands =
five ministry persons listed in Eph. 4:11-15), whom are involved in Christ
'work' (both in the natural, and in the spiritual -- 'work') in this very
"hands-on" fashion, as depicted in this dream.
This dream-woman may represent some portions of our Lord Jesus' church: The body
of Christ, some of "us".
The theme of going back to 'past times' (counterclockwise rotation), and
the 'old fashioned' clothing of the woman, are some dream-symbol reference to
previous-past, a going back in a clock-like reverse fashion to these stations
to fix some things that need fixing, to repair what was (past tense) left in bad
shape, torn, damaged, worn out, and etc..
However, I don't believe this dream is depicting long ago olden times as
portrayed literally in the dream, but that it is addressing our more
recent church history, and our personal individual histories as well,, of these
past years.
The dream-woman working at a counter in some of the places in this dream,
and her trail of going counterclockwise, may both address in the way of
symbol language, our own wise 'counting of the cost' before embarking on
a like-trail as this dream-woman. Please see Lk. 14:27-33
The representation of "family" via this dream is evident, also (the
house/home/caring woman), and is important in all of our gathering's together,
and in our relating to one another as the family of God.
In this dream, a theme of "bread" is strongly evident:
cornflower blue colored clothing,
likened to: flour sack material to me even as I dreamed this dream.
And the dough in the dream finale' which this woman kneaded.
*note this final one, for it is no longer a repair project in the 'dream
scene ending' -- rather it is a preparatory one, as this woman comes
full-circle after fixing and repairing those projects at each station presented
her; To now prepare / knead this dough (next, to be formed into loaves, to be
raised up, and then to be baked for 'the hungry people'! )
Jesus speaks,
"I am that bread of life." - Jn. 6:48
"But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone,
but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God." - Mt. 4:4, & Lk.
4:4
Concerning one of the messages of this dream: In our lifetimes (in the western
church) -- For us to know that portions, places, spots exist in Christ Jesus'
church from out of some of these past stations, as it were, and they need
fixing ... this is a 'no brain-er' for most of us, right? We can all understand
this part. However,
* What about on the personal and individual level of you and I ? For
"we", each one of us whom are believers and followers of Christ Jesus,
individually make up the corporate body of Christ. -- Rom.
12:12,
I Cor. 12:12. (dream woman, in part)
Are you and I whom this dream may be directed to, are we ready, willing, and
eager to go-along on this dream woman's trail, also?
Willing and desiring even to allow the true hands and fingers ministries (- Eph.
4, referenced above) to do their precious handiwork fixing in some of our own
needy parts and places which need repair, reviving, or restructure? Spots
needing fixing from our past trails (stations), as it were,, in us, each
one ?
If so -- This is humility 'In Christ'.
* As well, if you are a ministry person (- Eph. 4), likened to the hands
and fingers of this dream-woman; Firstly, gift-ministry-person, are you
willing and eager if needed, to fix in your own selves and lives, to repair some
of those past torn spots, and damages as symbolically portrayed in the above
dream ?
If so -- This is humility 'In Christ'.
* Are we all, as in the next steps of
'the work' after the fashion of this dream message: rectifying, reviving,
repairing, pouring in oil to soften the hard parts, in our one another-ing
'work' by HIS' love, thusly 'edifying the body', one another, Jesus church?
Giving-out in ministry a repairing cool cup of refreshing water, a healing, a
bread to the hungry one,, giving-out of Life; corporately, and to HIS' specific
body parts and places, and to individual persons, each one.
I trust this dream will speak to some of you whom read this, and that it will
even witness and be a confirmation for some of you, in this way,
... Believer, you are on the right and righteous trail presently,
even if it may seem backwards, or seem a strangely convoluted reverse order to
you! It is not. It is of God.
May we have some further assurance via this
dream's message that we are truly 'going for the gold', heading-in for that full
circled filling up, fully baked golden topped bread, of LIFE sustaining
properties: our Lord Jesus Christ, Whom is The Word.
